
Adel Karam
Adel Karam is a Lebanese actor, comedian, and television host, born in Beirut on August 20, 1972. He gained popularity in his home country primarily through television, particularly with the highly successful comedy show *Mafi Metlo*, which established him as one of the most well-known faces of Middle Eastern comedy. His film career is marked by notable collaborations, such as with director Nadine Labaki on the films *Caramel* (2007) and *Where Do We Go Now?* (2011). International acclaim came with his leading role in the drama *The Insult* (2017), directed by Ziad Doueiri. For this intense performance, he won one of the industry's highest honors, the Volpi Cup for Best Actor at the 74th Venice International Film Festival, an award he shared with co-star Kamel El Basha.
