Adèle Haenel
**Adèle Haenel (Paris, 1989)** is a French actress who has emerged as one of the most intense and charismatic figures in contemporary arthouse cinema. Haenel began her career at a very young age, gaining early recognition with Céline Sciamma's film *Naissance des pieuvres* (2007), which marked the beginning of a successful collaboration.
Her career is studded with complex roles and daring performances. She has won two César Awards: Best Supporting Actress for *Suzanne* (2013) and Best Actress for *Les Combattants* (2014), which cemented her talent.
She is particularly known for her ability to embody strong characters, often rebellious or tormented, but also vulnerable, with remarkable naturalness. Among her most celebrated performances are those in Robin Campillo's *120 Beats per Minute* (2017) and, above all, her co-starring role in *Portrait of a Lady on Fire* (2019), again directed by Céline Sciamma, which brought her international fame and established her as an icon of queer and arthouse cinema.
