Afrodyta Weselak
Afrodyta Weselak is a Polish film director, screenwriter, and producer. A graduate of the renowned Łódź Film School, she began her career directing critically acclaimed short films before making her feature film debut. Her most notable work is "Bo we mnie jest seks" (Autumn Girl, 2021), a biopic about the iconic Polish actress and singer Kalina Jędrusik that explores her struggle for artistic and personal independence in a conservative society. The film received widespread acclaim, premiering at the Gdynia Film Festival, where Weselak won the award for Best Directing Debut. The work also received numerous nominations at the Polish Film Awards, establishing her as one of the most significant and promising voices in contemporary Polish cinema.
