Agata Trzebuchowska is a Polish actress and director, born on April 12, 1992. She is internationally known for her debut leading role in Paweł Pawlikowski's film *Ida* (2013). With no prior acting experience, she was discovered by chance in a Warsaw café. Her portrayal of Anna, a young novice who discovers her Jewish origins, received unanimous critical acclaim, contributing to the film's success, which won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in 2015. For her performance, she received nominations for awards such as the European Film Awards. Despite the success, Trzebuchowska chose not to pursue a full-time acting career, focusing instead on directing.
