Ahmed Ahmed Poor

Babek Ahmed Poor is an Iranian actor, best known for his childhood performance in the 1987 film *Where Is the Friend's House?*, directed by Abbas Kiarostami. Cast by the director as a non-professional actor, Poor gained international fame for his role as Ahmed, a young student determined to return a notebook to his classmate. His career is inextricably linked to Kiarostami's celebrated Koker Trilogy. He also appeared in the two subsequent films, *And Life Goes On* (1992) and *Through the Olive Trees* (1994), where he played versions of himself, contributing to the director's complex metacinematic interplay. Although he did not receive any major individual awards, his image has become iconic of Iranian neorealist cinema, and his contribution was recognized through the numerous international awards won by the film, including the Bronze Leopard at the Locarno Film Festival. His acting career has remained essentially confined to these works.
