
Al Mancini
Alfredo "Al" Mancini (Steubenville, May 13, 1932 – London, November 12, 2007) was an American-born actor who became a naturalised British citizen. After moving to the United Kingdom, he became a prolific and recognizable character actor, active in film, television, and theatre. Due to his American features, he was often cast as gangsters, police officers, or American businessmen in British productions. Among his most notable film roles are his performances in *The Long Good Friday* (1980), where he played Inspector "Parky", Terry Gilliam's *Time Bandits* (1981), *Superman III* (1983), and *Santa Claus: The Movie* (1985). His television career includes appearances in numerous successful series such as *Minder*, *The Sweeney*, *The Professionals*, and *The Bill*. Although he received no major awards, his consistent presence and versatility made him a familiar face and a key supporting figure in the British film and television landscape for over three decades.
