Ally Sheedy (born Alexandra Elizabeth Sheedy in 1962) is an American actress and author, who became an icon of the 1980s as a central member of the "Brat Pack." She achieved international fame thanks to her roles in seminal films like WarGames (1983) and, above all, The Breakfast Club (1985), where her unforgettable portrayal of the shy and troubled Allison Reynolds consecrated her. That same year, she starred in St. Elmo's Fire (1985), solidifying her generational status. After moving away from teen roles, Sheedy demonstrated her artistic depth in independent cinema, receiving critical acclaim. Her most lauded performance came in 1998 with High Art, where she played the drug-addicted photographer Lucy Berliner, a role that earned her numerous accolades, including the Independent Spirit Award for Best Actress.
