
Angelique Pettyjohn
Angelique Pettyjohn, born Dorothy Lee Perrins (1943–1992), was an American actress and showgirl, primarily active during the 1960s and 1970s. Her fame is mainly linked to her iconic role as Shahna, the alien gladiatrix, in the *Star Trek*: The Original Series episode "The Gamesters of Triskelion." This performance earned her cult icon status in the world of science fiction. Her film career includes appearances in genre films such as the horror *The Mad Doctor of Blood Island* (1969) and the biker movie *Hell's Belles* (1969). On television, she appeared in several popular series, including *Batman* and *Get Smart*. Alongside her acting career, Pettyjohn had a notable career as a burlesque dancer and a headliner in Las Vegas. In the 1980s, she also worked in adult films under various pseudonyms. Although she did not receive major awards, her *Star Trek* role remains her most celebrated contribution, a legacy solidified by her frequent appearances at fan conventions.
