
Anita Bucher
Anita Bucher is a former Swiss mountain biker, born on November 19, 1978, who specialized in mountain bike marathon (XCM) competitions. The pinnacle of her career was reached in 2006, when she won the gold medal at the Mountain Bike Marathon World Championships in Oisans, France, establishing herself as one of the world's top athletes. Her palmarès also includes major continental and national titles: in 2004, she became the European Marathon Champion in Poland, and she won the Swiss National Champion title in the same discipline three times (2005, 2006, 2009). Throughout her career, she achieved numerous podium finishes in World Cup races and won prestigious international competitions, such as the Leadville Trail 100 MTB in the United States. Recognized for her endurance and tactical skills, she is considered one of the leading figures of her generation in long-distance off-road cycling.
