Anne-Kathrin Gummich is a German actress born in Berlin in 1964. Trained at the renowned "Ernst Busch" Academy of Dramatic Arts in her native city, she began her career primarily in theatre, collaborating with major institutions such as the Deutsches Theater in Berlin and the Thalia Theater in Hamburg. Starting in the 1990s, she complemented her stage work with a consistent presence in film and television productions, appearing in numerous successful series, including *Weissensee*, and television films. Her international recognition grew significantly thanks to her acclaimed portrayal of Chancellor Angela Merkel in the biographical film *Merkel – Macht der Freiheit* (2021).
