Anne-Marie Jelinek is a former Canadian figure skater who competed in pair skating with her brother Otto Jelinek. Born in Prague, she emigrated to Canada with her family after the 1948 communist coup. The pair reached the peak of their career in 1962, winning the gold medal at the World Championships held in their hometown of Prague, an event of great symbolic significance. Their achievements also include two Canadian national titles (1961, 1962), a North American championship (1961), and a fourth-place finish at the 1960 Winter Olympics. Known for their athletic and innovative style, the Jelineks contributed to the evolution of the discipline. In recognition of their success, they have been inducted into Canada's Sports Hall of Fame and the Skate Canada Hall of Fame. After retiring from competition, she had a brief career in professional skating.
