
Artur Młodnicki
Artur Młodnicki (Lviv, August 28, 1911 – Wrocław, July 16, 1972) was a Polish theatre and film actor and theatre director. He began his artistic career before World War II on the stages of Lviv. After the war, he became a central figure at the Teatr Polski (Polish Theatre) in Wrocław, where he worked for many years as both an actor and a director. His filmography includes over fifty films. Among his most notable roles are the hotel porter Kotowicz in Andrzej Wajda's masterpiece *Popiół i diament* (Ashes and Diamonds, 1958) and his appearances in films by Wojciech Has, such as *Rękopis znaleziony w Saragossie* (The Saragossa Manuscript, 1965) and *Lalka* (The Doll, 1968). He also appeared in the famous comedy *Sami swoi* (Our Folks, 1967). He was also active as a radio actor and voice actor. For his artistic merits, he was awarded important honors, including the Knight's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta.
