
Ashley Judd
Ashley Judd, born Ashley Tyler Ciminella (Granada Hills, April 19, 1968), is an American actress. She gained her first major critical recognition with the independent film *Ruby in Paradise* (1993), for which she won an Independent Spirit Award for Best Lead Actress. During the 1990s, she established herself as a leading actress in commercially successful thrillers, including *Kiss the Girls* (1997) and *Double Jeopardy* (1999), also starring in acclaimed films such as *Heat* (1995) and *A Time to Kill* (1996). Her versatility was recognized with a Golden Globe nomination for her role in the musical biopic *De-Lovely* (2004). In television, she received an Emmy Award nomination for Best Lead Actress for the miniseries *Missing* (2012). Her more recent work includes the *Divergent* film series and the series *Berlin Station*.
