Baard Owe (Mosjøen, July 3, 1936 – Copenhagen, November 11, 2017) was a Norwegian actor whose long and prolific career developed predominantly in Denmark. Trained as an actor in Oslo, he moved to Denmark in the late 1950s, becoming a prominent figure in film, theater, and television. He is best known internationally for his collaboration with director Lars von Trier, who directed him in the film "Europa" (1991) and cast him in the iconic role of the pathologist Dr. Bondo in the cult television series "The Kingdom" (Riget, 1994-1997). His extensive filmography also includes roles in works such as "O'Horten" (2007) and the popular Norwegian series "Hotel Cæsar". Throughout his career, he received major awards, including the Bodil Award for Best Supporting Actor in 1970 for "Pendulum" and an honorary Robert Award in 2015, a testament to his significant contribution to Danish cinema.
