Benjamin Géza Affleck-Boldt, known as Ben Affleck, is an American actor, director, screenwriter, and producer. He achieved international fame in 1997 with *Good Will Hunting*, a film he wrote and starred in alongside Matt Damon, which earned them both the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay. As an actor, he consolidated his career with commercial successes such as *Armageddon* and *Pearl Harbor*, alternating them with more complex performances that earned him accolades, including the Volpi Cup in Venice for *Hollywoodland* (2006).
