
Ben Whishaw
Benjamin John Whishaw (born Clifton, October 14, 1980) is a British actor, known for his versatility across theatre, film, and television. A graduate of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), he gained critical acclaim in 2004 for his performance as Hamlet in Trevor Nunn's production. His film career includes leading roles as Jean-Baptiste Grenouille in *Perfume: The Story of a Murderer* (2006) and the poet John Keats in *Bright Star* (2009). To wider audiences, he is known for his role as Q in the James Bond franchise, starting with *Skyfall* (2012), and as the original voice of Paddington Bear in the eponymous films. On television, his portrayal of Norman Scott in the miniseries *A Very English Scandal* (2018) earned him a Golden Globe, an Emmy, and a BAFTA Award. He received a second BAFTA Award in 2023 for his leading role in the medical drama *This Is Going to Hurt*.
