Berry Kroeger (San Antonio, October 16, 1912 – Los Angeles, January 4, 1991) was an American actor, known for his deep voice and his specialization in villainous roles. He began his career in radio, where he became an iconic presence on programs such as *Suspense*, lending his voice to sinister and memorable characters. His film debut was in 1948 with *The Iron Curtain*, followed by roles in major film noirs and dramas such as *Act of Violence* (1949), *Gun Crazy* (1950), and *Black Magic* (1949), often playing cultured yet menacing figures. Also active on the Broadway stage, he was a prolific television actor, appearing in dozens of popular series until the early 1980s. Although he did not receive any major awards, Kroeger is recognized as one of the most effective and reliable character actors of his generation, whose stage and vocal presence enriched numerous film and television productions for over four decades.
