Bice Melegari, a pseudonym for Faustina, was an Italian writer, journalist, and translator active in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Her career developed predominantly between Italy and France, where she became an esteemed contributor to prestigious journals such as the *Revue des Deux Mondes* and the *Journal des Débats*, serving as an important cultural mediator. Her literary output, often signed with the pseudonym "della Robbia," includes novels, essays, and short stories that sensitively explore moral and psychological themes, as well as the condition of women at the time. Her most notable works include *Il romanzo d'una ignota*, *Senza domani*, *Le tre capitali*, and *La casa paterna*. Thanks to her role as a cosmopolitan intellectual and her contribution to promoting Franco-Italian cultural ties, she achieved significant international recognition. For her work, the French government awarded her the prestigious honor of Knight of the Legion of Honour.
