Bill Tung Biu (1933-2006) was a Hong Kong actor and horse racing commentator who became an iconic face of 1980s and 90s action-comedy cinema. Although he was already a famous voice in horse racing (a passion that often appeared in his roles), his film fame exploded thanks to his frequent collaboration with Jackie Chan. He is universally known for his role as Inspector "Uncle" Bill Wong in the Police Story series, where he played the exasperated yet protective father figure to the protagonist Chan Ka-Kui. This persona of a good-natured, grumbling "uncle" became his trademark, appearing in dozens of films, including Project A Part II, Mr. Canton and Lady Rose, and the popular comedy series It's a Mad, Mad, Mad World. His ability to balance slapstick comedy with a sense of warmth and authority made him one of the most beloved and recognizable character actors in Hong Kong cinema.
