Bill Wyman
Bill Wyman, born William George Perks Jr., is a British musician, producer, and author, best known as the bassist for the Rolling Stones from 1962 to 1993. During his thirty years with the band, he helped define the group's sound with his solid and melodic bass lines, playing on all classic albums from "The Rolling Stones" (1964) to "Steel Wheels" (1989) and writing the song "In Another Land". After leaving the band, he founded Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings, a musical project through which he explores the roots of blues and R&B, releasing numerous albums. Alongside his music career, he has pursued writing, publishing the autobiography "Stone Alone" and essays on the history of the blues, and has also cultivated a passion for photography and archaeology. In 1989, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame along with the other members of the Rolling Stones, his most significant official recognition.
