Bob Bowes was an influential Canadian artist, known primarily as a painter and printmaker. Born in Calgary, Alberta, he studied at the Alberta College of Art, where he developed a deep expertise in printmaking techniques, particularly lithography and serigraphy. His work often explores the landscapes of the Canadian prairies, reinterpreting them through a visual language that blends abstraction and representation.
