
Bonita Granville
Bonita Granville (1923-1988) was an American actress and producer. She began her career as a child actress, rising to prominence at the age of 13 for her performance in the film *These Three* (1936), which earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. She became an icon for young audiences for her role as the teenage detective Nancy Drew, whom she portrayed in four films between 1938 and 1939. Her career continued with significant roles in films such as *Now, Voyager* (1942) and *Hitler's Children* (1943). After her marriage to businessman Jack Wrather, Granville gradually scaled back her acting career to focus on producing, becoming, alongside her husband, an executive producer of the acclaimed television series *Lassie*. For her contribution to the motion picture industry, she was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
