Bonnie Bedelia Culkin, born in New York City on March 25, 1948, is an American actress whose career has spanned six decades across film, television, and theater. After beginning as a dancer, she made her film debut in 1969 with a role in *They Shoot Horses, Don't They?*. She is widely known to international audiences for portraying Holly Gennero McClane, the protagonist's wife, in the successful action films *Die Hard* (1988) and *Die Hard 2* (1990). Her acclaimed performance as drag racing driver Shirley Muldowney in *Heart Like a Wheel* (1983) earned her a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress. Her other notable film roles include *Presumed Innocent* (1990), opposite Harrison Ford.
