Brad Dexter
Brad Dexter, born Boris Milanovich (Goldfield, April 9, 1917 – Rancho Mirage, December 12, 2002), was an American actor and film producer of Serbian descent. He is best known for his role as Harry Luck, one of the seven gunmen in the classic western *The Magnificent Seven* (1960). His career took off with a significant role in John Huston's film noir *The Asphalt Jungle* (1950). Specializing in roles as tough characters or antagonists, he appeared in numerous films, including *Run Silent, Run Deep* (1958) and *None but the Brave* (1965), the latter directed by his friend Frank Sinatra, whose life he saved from drowning. In the later years of his career, he left acting to focus on producing, working on films such as *The Spy with a Cold Nose* (1967) and achieving success with *Lady Sings the Blues* (1972), which was nominated for five Academy Awards. Although he did not receive any major individual acting awards, his contribution to cinema remains tied to iconic roles and a solid career as a character actor.
