
Brady Corbet
Brady Corbet (born 1988) is an American actor, director, and screenwriter. He began his career as a young actor, securing significant roles in independent films such as `Thirteen` (2003) and `Mysterious Skin` (2004). In subsequent years, he collaborated with acclaimed directors, including Michael Haneke on `Funny Games` (2007) and Lars von Trier on `Melancholia` (2011). Since 2015, he has established himself as a filmmaker. His directorial debut, `The Childhood of a Leader`, won the award for Best Director in the Orizzonti section and the Lion of the Future award for Best Debut Film at the Venice Film Festival. After `Vox Lux` (2018), which also premiered in competition at Venice, he solidified his status as a director of international renown, winning the Silver Lion for Best Director in 2024 with his third feature film, `The Brutalist`.
