Brandon Hurst was a British actor who worked primarily in theatre and film. His film career spanned the silent era and the early decades of sound, during which time he established himself as a prolific character actor. Specializing in antagonistic roles or sinister characters, he is best remembered for his portrayal of Jehan in the classic *The Hunchback of Notre Dame* (1923), alongside Lon Chaney.
