She is known internationally primarily for her 1975 cult album, *The Iron Pot Cooker*, which blends soul, funk, and spoken word. The album's opening track, "Take Yo' Praise," achieved global fame decades later when it was sampled by British DJ Fatboy Slim for his renowned 1998 hit, "Praise You," bringing her voice to a new audience.
