Carla Petrillo
Carla Petrillo is an Italian pianist, composer, and arranger, known for her versatility and her ability to fuse her classical training with modern genres such as pop, jazz, and world music. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with numerous prominent artists on the Italian music scene, including Dolcenera, with whom she has established a long and fruitful artistic partnership, Nina Zilli, Tony Bungaro, Grazia Di Michele, and Francesco Di Bella. Alongside her work as a session musician and arranger, she pursues personal projects, most notably the duo 'Petrillo & Petrillo' with her brother, cellist Antonio. Their debut album, 'InCanto', received critical acclaim for its originality in reinterpreting pieces from the classical and singer-songwriter repertoire. Her artistic contribution has earned her significant accolades, including the Premio Lunezia, awarded for the musical and literary value of the songs written with Dolcenera, and the Targa Tenco for Francesco Di Bella's 'Nuova Gianturco' project.
