
Catherine Allégret
Catherine Allégret, born in Paris on April 16, 1946, is a French actress and writer. The daughter of actress Simone Signoret and director Yves Allégret, and the stepdaughter of Yves Montand, she made her film debut in the 1960s, building a solid career in film, television, and theater. Her filmography includes collaborations with internationally renowned directors such as Louis Malle in *The Thief of Paris* (1967), Claude Sautet in *Vincent, François, Paul and the Others* (1974), and François Truffaut. For her performance in the latter's 1980 film *The Last Metro*, she received a César Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Also very active in television, she achieved widespread popularity playing the role of Ginou for nearly twenty years in the police series *Navarro*. In 2004, she published the autobiographical book *Un monde à l'envers*, which received significant media attention.
