Charles K. Gerrard (Dublin, July 18, 1883 – Los Angeles, January 1, 1969) was an Irish actor, primarily active during the silent film era and in the early years of sound film. Specializing in roles as antagonists or European aristocrats, his career took off in Hollywood during the 1920s. Among his most significant performances are his portrayal of Jehan Frollo in *The Hunchback of Notre Dame* (1923) alongside Lon Chaney, and the role of "Uncle" in the celebrated film *7th Heaven* (1927). He also appeared in important works such as Erich von Stroheim's *The Merry Widow* (1925). With the advent of sound, he continued to work regularly, although often in supporting or uncredited roles in productions such as *Dracula's Daughter* (1936). Although he did not receive any major awards, Gerrard is recognized as a reliable and versatile character actor whose presence enriched numerous successful films of his time, solidifying his reputation in classic American cinema.
