
Charlotte d'Amboise
Charlotte d'Amboise is an American actress, dancer, and singer, known primarily for her prolific career in Broadway musical theatre. The daughter of celebrated dancer Jacques d'Amboise, she made her Broadway debut in the musical *Cats*. Her career is marked by performances in numerous successful revivals. She is one of the few actresses to have played both leading roles, Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly, in the musical *Chicago*. Her other iconic roles include Charity Hope Valentine in *Sweet Charity* and Lola in *Damn Yankees*. For her work, she has received two Tony Award nominations for Best Featured Actress in a Musical: the first in 1989 for *Jerome Robbins' Broadway* and the second in 2007 for her acclaimed performance as Cassie in the revival of *A Chorus Line*. She has also won a Fred Astaire Award for her performance in *Sweet Charity*, in recognition of her exceptional dancing skills.
