
Checco Rissone
Checco Rissone, born Francesco Rissone (Turin, 7 July 1909 – Vicenza, 26 September 1985), was an Italian actor with a solid theatrical background. He became one of the most well-known and appreciated character actors of post-war Italian cinema, his name associated with memorable roles in masterpieces such as Vittorio De Sica's *Miracle in Milan* (1951) and Federico Fellini's *I vitelloni* (1953), in which he played the fiancé of Moraldo's sister. His versatility allowed him to transition effectively between comedic and dramatic roles, working with other great directors such as Mario Monicelli and Steno. His career was crowned in 1971 when he won the Nastro d'Argento (Silver Ribbon) for Best Supporting Actor for his intense performance in the film *Per grazia ricevuta* (*Between Miracles*), directed by Nino Manfredi. Also active in television until his final years, he took part in several successful television dramas, confirming his status as a fundamental figure in Italian entertainment.
