Cherie Lunghi is a British actress of Italian and English descent, who trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London. She began her career in theatre, working with the prestigious Royal Shakespeare Company, before gaining international recognition for her role as Guinevere in John Boorman's film *Excalibur* (1981). Her filmography includes notable titles such as *The Mission* (1986) and *Mary Shelley's Frankenstein* (1994). On the small screen, she is known for her leading role in the television series *The Manageress* (1989-1990), a performance for which she received a BAFTA award nomination for Best Actress.
