
Chris Elliott
Chris Elliott is an American actor, comedian, and screenwriter, born on May 31, 1960. He began his career in the 1980s as a writer and performer for *Late Night with David Letterman*, a job for which he won four consecutive Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Writing. He later became known to the general public as the star of the cult surreal sitcom *Get a Life* (1990-1992). His film career includes memorable roles in movies such as *Groundhog Day* (1993) and *There's Something About Mary* (1998). On television, he had recurring roles in *Everybody Loves Raymond* and, more recently, played Roland Schitt in the acclaimed series *Schitt's Creek*. For this performance, he shared a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series with the rest of the cast. His comedic style is often characterized by eccentric characters and absurd situations.
