Christine Fabréga, born Jacqueline Christine Fabrège (Paris, April 8, 1931 – Paris, June 11, 1988), was a French actress, television and radio presenter. She began her career in film, appearing in notable movies such as Jean-Pierre Melville's "Le Deuxième Souffle" (1966) and "Les Risques du Métier" (1967) with Jacques Brel. However, she achieved her greatest popularity on the small screen, becoming an iconic figure in French television. She was the original host of the game show "Le Mot le Plus Long," a forerunner to the famous "Des Chiffres et des Lettres," which she presented from 1965 to 1970. In the 1970s, she solidified her fame by hosting the popular children's program "Les Visiteurs du Mercredi." Simultaneously, she was a well-regarded voice on the radio, particularly on Europe 1. Although she did not receive any major awards, her greatest recognition was the immense affection from the public, which established her as one of the most familiar and beloved figures of her generation thanks to her warm personality and professionalism.
