
Corinne Bruand
Corinne Bruand is a French academic and Italianist, a Full Professor of contemporary Italian literature and culture at the Université Grenoble Alpes. Her research career primarily focuses on 20th and 21st-century Italian literature, with a specific focus on the relationship between history, memory, and narrative. She is considered one of the leading international experts on the work of authors such as Mario Rigoni Stern, Leonardo Sciascia, and Primo Levi. Her research has explored key themes such as the literary representation of the Great War, the Resistance, and deportation. Among her most important works is the monograph *Le roman italien de la Grande Guerre*, a seminal work of criticism on the subject. She has also edited numerous volumes and published articles in international academic journals. For her ongoing commitment to promoting Italian culture abroad, in 2018 she was awarded the honor of Knight of the Order of the Star of Italy by the President of the Italian Republic, one of the highest honors granted to foreign nationals.
