Dana Carvey is an American comedian, actor, and impressionist, known primarily for his work as a cast member on *Saturday Night Live* from 1986 to 1993. During his time on the show, he created and portrayed iconic characters such as the sanctimonious Church Lady, the bodybuilder Hans (of the duo Hans and Franz), and Garth Algar, as well as being celebrated for his precise impression of President George H.W. Bush. The success of the Garth Algar sketch, alongside Mike Myers' Wayne, led to the creation of two highly successful films, *Wayne's World* (1992) and its sequel. His film career also includes leading roles in movies such as *The Master of Disguise* (2002). For his performance on *Saturday Night Live*, Carvey received a Primetime Emmy Award in 1993, after several nominations. He continues to perform as a stand-up comedian and work as a voice actor in animated productions, such as *The Secret Life of Pets* franchise.
