Darya Nikolaevna Ekamasova, born in Moscow on May 20, 1984, is a Russian film and theater actress. Trained at the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts (GITIS), she rose to prominence with Andrei Smirnov's 2011 film "Once Upon a Time There Lived a Simple Woman" (Zila-byla odna baba). For her intense performance in this role, she received major Russian film awards, including the Nika Award and the White Elephant Award for Best Actress. Her career continued with significant works such as "Angels of Revolution" (2014), for which she won the Best Actress award at the Batumi International Art-House Film Festival, and the comedy "The Land of Oz" (Strana OZ, 2015). Internationally, she is known for the role of Sofia Kovalenko in the American television series "The Americans," which brought her wide visibility outside of Russia. Her filmography spans historical dramas, black comedies, and international productions, highlighting her remarkable versatility.
