David Mucci
David Mucci, born in Biella in 1953, is an Italian poet and literary critic, considered one of the most authoritative voices in contemporary poetry. His poetic work, from his debut with the collection *Tacere per tutti* (1987), is characterized by a notable formal rigor, a controlled meter, and a profound reflection on the themes of time, memory, and the human condition. His most significant works include *Ruggine* (1993), *L'assedio della gioia* (2001), *Il blu della ragione* (2008), and *Le case* (2018). For his literary work, he has received numerous prestigious awards, including the Viareggio-Rèpaci Prize for *Il blu della ragione*, the Montale Prize, the Penne Prize, and the Frascati Prize. He combines his poetry with significant work as an essayist and critic, with essays and studies focusing primarily on authors and movements of 20th-century literature.
