
Dawid Ogrodnik
Dawid Ogrodnik (born May 28, 1986, in Wągrowiec) is a Polish actor and one of the most acclaimed of his generation. Trained at the Academy of Theatre Arts in Kraków, he gained international attention for his portrayal of Mateusz, a man with cerebral palsy, in the film *Life Feels Good* (*Chce się żyć*, 2013). His career is characterized by complex roles and physical transformations, such as the journalist Tomasz Beksiński in *The Last Family* (*Ostatnia rodzina*, 2016), the blind jazz pianist Mietek Kosz in *Icarus. The Legend of Mietek Kosz* (*Ikar. Legenda Mietka Kosza*, 2019), and the priest Jan Kaczkowski in *Johnny* (2022). For his performances, he has received numerous awards, including several Golden Lions at the Gdynia Film Festival and multiple Orły (Eagles), Poland's most prestigious film awards, for Best Actor in a Leading Role. He is considered a versatile actor, capable of tackling intense emotional and physical challenges for his characters.
