Dedi Ristori

Dedi Ristori, born in Fauglia (Pisa) in 1941, is an Italian painter and sculptor, and a prominent figure in the field of geometric abstraction and kinetic art. His artistic career began in the 1960s, a period when he was among the founders of the Gruppo Atoma in Livorno and joined the "Pittura Oggetto" (Object Painting) movement. His work is characterized by a rigorous exploration of the circle, a symbol explored in countless chromatic and compositional variations to generate effects of dynamism and perceptual vibration. His works, which range from paintings on canvas to three-dimensional sculptures in materials such as methacrylate, investigate the interaction between form, color, light, and movement. Ristori has received significant recognition throughout his career, participating in prestigious exhibitions such as the Venice Biennale and the Rome Quadriennale.
