Demet Akbağ, born in Denizli on December 23, 1959, is an acclaimed Turkish theatre, film, and television actress, considered one of the most versatile and beloved performers in her country. She began her professional career in theatre in the early 1980s, gaining recognition with the theatre company Ortaoyuncular. Her television breakthrough came with the highly successful comedy show *Bir Demet Tiyatro*, which made her a household name throughout Turkey. On the big screen, she became a leading figure in Turkish comedy through box-office hits such as the *Vizontele* series, the *Eyyvah Eyvah* trilogy, and *Hükümet Kadın*. She has also demonstrated remarkable skill in dramatic roles, appearing in the film *Kış Uykusu* (Winter Sleep), which won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival.
