Dennis Weaver (1924-2006) was an American actor. Although well-known for television roles such as Chester in *Gunsmoke* and Marshal McCloud, his film career also featured significant roles.

His most iconic big-screen role is undoubtedly David Mann in Steven Spielberg's TV movie **Duel** (1971).
