Derya Alabora

Derya Alabora (Istanbul, August 19, 1959) is a Turkish film, theater, and television actress. After graduating from the Theater Department of the Mimar Sinan University State Conservatory, she began her career on stage, co-founding several theater companies. Her cinematic breakthrough came with Zeki Demirkubuz's 1997 film *Masumiyet* (Innocence), in which her performance as Uğur earned her the most important national awards: the Best Actress award at the Antalya International Film Festival (Golden Orange), the Adana Film Festival (Golden Boll), and from the Turkish Film Critics Association (SIYAD). Her filmography includes other notable works such as *Yengeç Sepeti* (1994) and *Salkım Hanım'ın Taneleri* (1999). She has also appeared in international productions, including the German film *Die Fremde* (2010). Recognized for her ability to tackle complex and dramatic roles, Alabora remains one of the most respected figures in the Turkish arts scene, active both on the big screen and in numerous television series.
