Richard "Dick" Miller (New York, December 25, 1928 – Toluca Lake, January 30, 2019) was a prolific American character actor whose career spanned over sixty years, with more than 180 film and television credits. He became a familiar face in genre cinema starting in the 1950s, frequently collaborating with director Roger Corman, for whom he played one of his most iconic roles, that of Walter Paisley in *A Bucket of Blood* (1959). He later became a favorite actor of director Joe Dante, who cast him in nearly all of his films, giving him memorable roles such as Murray Futterman in *Gremlins* (1984) and the occult bookstore owner in *The Howling* (1981). He also appeared in a famous cameo as the gun shop owner in James Cameron's *The Terminator* (1984). Although he never won any major awards, his contribution to cinema was celebrated in the documentary *That Guy Dick Miller* (2014), which solidified his status as a cult film legend.
