Eanna MacLiam is an Irish actor, born in Cork, best known for his long and acclaimed stage career, particularly his association with the Abbey Theatre, Ireland's national theatre. He has played leading roles in numerous productions, notably Tom Murphy's *The Gigli Concert*, and Sean O'Casey's *Juno and the Paycock* and *The Plough and the Stars*. For his performance in *The Gigli Concert*, he won the Best Actor award at the Irish Times Theatre Awards in 2002. His career also extends to film and television, with appearances in successful series such as the Irish-language soap opera *Ros na Rún*, *The Tudors*, and *Vikings*, and in films such as *Becoming Jane* (2007). MacLiam is also praised for his work as a voice actor and narrator, thanks to his distinctive voice.
