Edward Hamilton-Clark, born in 1943, is a French businessman and banker of British origin, known for his long career in the financial sector and his commitment to cultural patronage. His professional ascent is inextricably linked to Crédit Commercial de France (CCF), an institution he joined in 1972, rising to become its Chairman and CEO in 1996. Following the acquisition of CCF by HSBC in 2000, he maintained a prominent role as Chairman of HSBC France. In addition to his activities in the world of finance, Hamilton-Clark is an influential art collector and philanthropist who has promoted and financed major restoration projects of French heritage, notably the restoration of the Hall of Mirrors at the Palace of Versailles.
