Eleonora Rossi Drago, stage name of Palmira Omiccioli (Genoa, September 23, 1925 – Palermo, December 2, 2007), was an Italian actress, primarily active during the 1950s and 1960s. Endowed with an aristocratic beauty and an intense dramatic ability, she established herself as one of the most versatile actresses of post-war Italian cinema. She worked with leading directors such as Michelangelo Antonioni in *Le amiche* (1955) and Pietro Germi in *Un maledetto imbroglio* (1959). Her most celebrated role is arguably in Valerio Zurlini's *Estate violenta* (1959), for which she won the Nastro d'argento for Best Actress and the award for Best Actress at the Mar del Plata Film Festival. Her filmography ranges from drama to comedy, and includes roles in international productions such as John Huston's *The Bible* (1966). Specializing in portraying complex and troubled female figures, she retired from acting in the early 1970s.
