Emiliano Hasan is an Italian writer and poet of Albanian origin. His literary work explores in depth themes such as identity, exile, memory, and the relationship between the individual and history, often intertwining his cultural roots with the Italian experience. He made his fiction debut with the novel "In città, d'inverno" (2008), a work that earned him the prestigious Viareggio Rèpaci Prize for a debut work, establishing him as one of the most significant voices of his generation. His poetic work includes collections such as "Sulle tracce del poeta armeno" (2005), while notable among his later prose works is "Il cratere" (2012), in which he continues his exploration of family ties and the wounds of the past. Throughout his career, he has received numerous other awards, including the Camaiore Prize for Poetry, and has also distinguished himself as a translator, contributing to making important Albanian and international authors known in Italy.
