Eskil Kalling is a Swedish video game developer and programmer, known primarily as one of the co-founders of Mojang AB, the development studio behind the renowned video game *Minecraft*. After contributing to the project's initial stages, Kalling left Mojang to found the independent Oxeye Game Studio with Daniel Brynolf and Pontus Hammarber. Through this new label, he conceived and led the development of his main project, *Cobalt*, an action-platformer video game featuring complex physics and a multiplayer mode. Published in 2016 by Mojang, the game achieved considerable critical success in the independent scene, winning the "Excellence in Audio" award at the 2010 Independent Games Festival (IGF) and the "Best in Show" award at the same festival in 2013, even before its official release. In 2017, he also released the multiplayer spin-off *Cobalt WASD*.
